The Shining Stars Community supports and empowers socially disadvantaged individuals and communities to help them gain access on a local, national and international level. These training opportunities strive to promote social inclusion.

This project was organised by the EU commission to help share different ideas and perceptions about gender inequality in and around Europe.

Cultural relativism is a vital part of this to comprehend different cultural and societal norms and imperious ideas. People of different or religious, cultural and social backgrounds have come together from both genders to discuss, debate and share different stories, opinions and perceptions about the subject at hand.

From constructive communication the participants have had the opportunity to gain mutual understanding and greater insight about gender equality.

Lectures were organised to nourish the wisdom in relation to the social and legal differences between men and women.

This project was to promote the values stated in the Article 2 of the Lisbon Treaty:  The Union is founded on the values of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities.
